Served on soft, fluffy Japanese shokupan bread, katsu sandos can be found everywhere in Japan, from convenience stores and vending machines to restaurants. Inspired by its amazing flavor, Nick has long dreamed of introducing this classic to the United States.

In the past year, the rising popularity of katsu sandos, both in Japan and the U.S., sparked the creation of The Sando Truck. Now serving Santa Barbara, CA, The Sando Truck is bringing the authentic katsu sando experience to the West Coast. The Sando Truck selects high-quality meats and partners with a trusted vendor to make sure the shokupan is made the traditional way. Even the breading is made in-house using fresh panko from shokupan crusts, minimizing food waste while preserving the sandwich’s authentic taste.
